Once a buyer selects an offer, the next step is to pay the seller.
To Checkout, the buyer will need to sign in and view their listing. Within the Available Options section on the Offers tab, the option to Make Payment is available. Selecting this will begin the Checkout process.
There are 3 stages to the checkout process
First Things First!
Please remember that Luvo has not verified the authenticity of the seller. You should undertake your own checks in the same way as you normally would when making any online purchases. For more information see our Tips on Ensuring a Seller is Genuine.
As well as confirming the seller’s details and the price of your selected offer, the Review page also provides the opportunity to amend the delivery address for your goods or services.
Please note that some sellers may not deliver goods to an address that differs from your billing address. So if you are in any doubt you should check with the seller first.
The Payment page allows you to choose a payment method that the seller has indicated that they can accept.
On selecting a payment option, any additional details that the seller has specified will be displayed in the additional details section of the page.
The last page provides one final confirmation of all the relevant details of your purchase.
Continuing from this page will mark your listing as paid.
- If you have selected to pay the seller by PayPal, you will automatically be redirected to the PayPal payment processing pages to complete your payment.
- If you are paying by an offline method, e.g. cheque or bank transfer, you should now process this.
We will notify the seller that you have marked this listing as Paid.
Once they receive cleared funds, they will complete your order and mark this listing as Dispatched – we will email to let you know when they do this.
Checked Out by Mistake?
If you have checked out by mistake, the option to Mark as Unpaid will become available when you view the listing. Selecting this will change the status of the listing back to Unpaid.
If you do mark as unpaid, then please note that this is simply a status change on Luvo. We will not try to reverse any payments that may have actually been made.
You will need to return to the listing at some point to complete the checkout process again and mark the listing as paid. In doing so you will be asked if you simply want to update the status to paid or complete the full Checkout process again. You should take care to ensure that you do not pay twice for the same item.
